SUBJECT: Public Action Need in Response to Fifth Amendment on the Drake Property @ 1850 Glenview Roa
Glenview village government matters. It controls development, taxes, spending, safety, infrastructure, and sustainability. Residents should expect fiscal responsibility, transparency, respect, and two-way communication. How's it doing? Stay up to date with what's REALLY happening and what you should be concerned about.
Fiscal Responsibility
The Village manages huge amounts of money. We need to know if they are being fiscally responsible. They can do better.
Transparency
The village needs to be more open and transparent about development, spending, timely release of information prior to meetings, decision-making processes, and reasons for why they are doing things.
Respect
The Village needs to treat all the residents and businesses as stakeholders. Sometimes it seems like the village gives preference to developers over residents.
Communication
Communication is more than sending out a weekly email and monthly newsletter. It consists of two-way communication. Listening to residents at meetings. Responding to concerns. Engaging in a dialogue rather than listening in silence with no response, no feedback.
